So the Promax conference was okay… nothing too spectacular. I felt a little out of place because there weren’t very many online/interactive panels or conferences, so I was stuck in all the on-air presentations. Some of it was really interesting though. Got to see a lot of great on-air promos and pieces. One of the really great sessions was headed by Pablo Ferro – he’s a title designer/director for films…. one of the more famous pieces he did was the opening title sequence of Kubrick’s “Dr. Strangelove.”

We stayed at the Sunset Marquis and this place was celeb central. Pretty ecclectic group of celebs wandering around, and the best part was there was no effort involved in finding them, they just would wander thru the lobby or the bar (where we spent a lot of our down time). Some of the list included: David Boreanez, Kelly Osbourne, George Clooney, Pete Townsend, Slash, Gabriel Byrne, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Gregory Hines, Busta Rhymes, Benicio del Torro… can’t remember the rest, so tired. Anyway, fun.
